About the Role

As a Clinical Courier, you’ll help ensure timely, secure delivery and collection of Doctors Hospital resources. You’ll be an active member of the Transport Team, supporting clinical, logistical, and human resources needs with accurate handling and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Receive medical items and follow delivery instructions from the healthcare facility
  • Store medical items securely in the delivery vehicle before departure
  • Verify that documentation matches each item and confirm records are complete
  • Plan efficient routes to destinations by considering traffic conditions and mileage
  • Coordinate punctual pickup and delivery of medical items
  • Confirm recipient identity and collect signed delivery receipts
  • Maintain safe handling practices to protect the integrity of each delivered item
  • Log mileage and vehicle maintenance details in the company logbook
  • Count and perform accurate inventory of items collected or delivered

Requirements

  • High school diploma (required); strong preference for BJC’s including Math and English
  • Valid driver’s license with at least five years of vehicle driving experience and a clean driving record (required)
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles (preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience as a delivery driver or courier (preferred)
  • Willingness to be flexible with on-call duties
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and plan effectively
  • Comfort working under pressure and responding quickly to urgent situations
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on punctuality
  • Physically able to lift at least 20 pounds
  • Commitment to healthcare efficiency
