About the Role
We’re seeking a Clinical Nurse Supervisor for our Observation Unit to lead day-to-day clinical operations while supporting staff education and development. In this role, you’ll serve as a clinical expert and oversee unit workflow to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff to support strong clinical performance
- Provide clinical decision-making and expert guidance specific to the unit
- Support education, training, and ongoing staff development activities
- Perform supervisory duties including hiring support, performance evaluation, and participation in disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources
- Collaborate with management and Human Resources regarding discharge recommendations
- Maintain standards of care and promote efficient, patient-centered service delivery
Requirements
- Current nursing license required
- Proven supervisory experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make decisions in real time
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to support staff development and uphold quality and safety standards
