About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are building the data infrastructure layer that helps teams move, transform, and trust their data. We’re seeking a Commercial Counsel to support commercial agreements and help enable scalable, reliable customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across sales and customer engagements
- Partner with Sales, Legal Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to manage contract workflows
- Provide practical legal guidance on risk, terms, and deal structure
- Support standardization efforts to improve speed and consistency of contracting
- Collaborate on contract playbooks, templates, and internal processes
Requirements
- J.D. and active legal experience supporting commercial transactions
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to translate legal concepts into clear business guidance
- Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with technology/SaaS contracting is a plus
