About the Role
Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two leading companies to help organizations unlock the full value of their data. As Commercial Counsel, you’ll support the legal work that enables our teams to move quickly while maintaining strong contract practices and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer and partner contracts
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal terms, standard processes, and contract strategy
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and other business teams to ensure timely deal execution
- Support contract lifecycle management, including issue spotting and scalable templates
- Provide guidance on commercial risk, compliance considerations, and operational best practices
Requirements
- J.D. or equivalent legal qualification
- Experience negotiating technology or SaaS commercial agreements
- Strong contract drafting and redlining skills
- Ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate clearly with business teams
- Solid understanding of commercial legal risk and practical problem-solving
