About the Role

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team delivers the infrastructure and foundational technologies that power online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Azure. As a Critical Environment Operations Specialist, you’ll help ensure the reliability and performance of critical environments that support Microsoft’s global customer base.

CO+I operates an expansive worldwide infrastructure, including a portfolio of data centers across multiple countries. The team includes subject matter experts who support services for billions of users and millions of businesses globally.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support critical environment operations to maintain service reliability and performance
  • Coordinate operational activities to ensure infrastructure readiness and stability
  • Follow established procedures and escalation paths to address incidents and anomalies
  • Partner with internal teams to support continuous improvement in operational practices
  • Contribute to sustainability-focused initiatives related to critical environment performance

Requirements

  • Experience supporting mission-critical facilities, infrastructure, or data center operations
  • Strong understanding of critical environment systems and operational controls
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and work effectively under operational timelines
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and process adherence
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration and incident response
