About the Role
FirstEnergy Service Co. is seeking a Cyber & Information Security Analyst to support cyber security operations and technology service operations center (TSOC) activities. Reporting from our Akron, Ohio location, you’ll work under the Manager of Cyber Security Compliance to help protect critical systems and strengthen our security posture.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support TSOC activities to detect, analyze, and respond to potential cyber threats
- Assist with cyber security compliance efforts and support documentation and evidence collection
- Investigate security events and help coordinate next steps with internal stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of security processes, procedures, and monitoring practices
- Support the identification and remediation of security control gaps
Requirements
- Experience in cyber security monitoring, incident response, or security operations
- Working knowledge of common security tools and technologies used in SOC/TSOC environments
- Familiarity with cyber security compliance concepts and control validation
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly document findings
- Ability to work onsite in Akron, Ohio (commute distance required)
