About the Role
The Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) is seeking a Director of Land Management to help advance the organization’s mission at the intersection of conservation, recreation, and science. In this role, you will lead efforts that support climate resilience and protect natural resources across the Northeast.
This position aligns both paid and volunteer staff to drive AMC’s strategic priorities, including creating inspiring outdoor experiences, protecting critical landscapes, and strengthening a welcoming community.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate land management initiatives across AMC’s conservation and recreation programs.
- Align staff and volunteers to support organizational goals and strategic priorities.
- Help protect critical landscapes that support both people and the outdoors.
- Cultivate a robust, welcoming community through effective collaboration and engagement.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in land management, conservation, or related fields.
- Strong ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and engage volunteers.
- Commitment to outdoor access, conservation outcomes, and community stewardship.
