About the Role
Versant is seeking a Director of QA Engineering to lead our engineering quality assurance function. In this role, you’ll help shape the testing roadmap that supports our core platform ecosystem—spanning data management, scheduling, linear and digital distribution, and AI-enabled automations and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive a strategic QA roadmap aligned with product and engineering priorities
- Set and implement standards for test execution across the service stack for public-facing web and mobile applications, internal tools, and backend services
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to ensure quality is built into delivery from planning through release
- Own release management testing behaviors to support reliable deployments across platform components
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in QA engineering or software quality assurance
- Strong understanding of end-to-end testing strategies across distributed systems
- Experience defining quality standards, test execution practices, and release readiness processes
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering and Product stakeholders
