About the Role
Versant is seeking a Director of QA Engineering to lead our Quality Assurance function within the Software Engineering organization. You will help shape the testing roadmap and influence how quality practices scale across our core platform ecosystem supporting content distribution, data management, scheduling, and AI-enabled automation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the QA strategy and roadmap for critical business applications spanning public-facing web and mobile experiences, internal tools, and backend services
- Define and implement testing standards, execution behaviors, and quality gates across the service stack
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to ensure release readiness and consistent quality outcomes
- Lead release management approaches that support dependable deployments across multiple platform components
Requirements
- Proven experience leading QA/quality engineering efforts in a software platform environment
- Strong understanding of test strategy, test execution frameworks, and release management practices
- Ability to define standards and drive adoption across engineering teams
- Experience working across complex systems, including backend services and customer-facing applications
