About the Role
Join the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) team at Scott Middle School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. This onsite Educational Aide role supports instruction in special education and general education settings within a classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize instructional materials for classroom lessons
- Assist students with toileting, feeding, eating, and personal hygiene
- Support learning activities aligned to plans created by teachers and special education specialists
- Help with administrative and classroom support tasks such as attendance tracking, filing, scheduling, and reviewing assignments
- Provide support during Parent-Teacher conferences as needed
Requirements
- Experience or training working with students in educational or support roles (special education experience preferred)
- Ability to assist with student care needs while maintaining dignity and safety
- Strong organizational skills for classroom and administrative support
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and families
