About the Role
Emerson is seeking an Associate Technical Training Instructor to join our Educational Services team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will help deliver training on the Ovation distributed control system (DCS) to customers in the Power Generation and Water/Wastewater Treatment industries.
You’ll learn and teach how to install Microsoft Windows–based software, set up Ovation on Dell workstations, configure fast-Ethernet networks using Cisco switches and routers, and integrate Ovation Controllers. Training is delivered both in-house and at customer sites across North America.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-house training in Pittsburgh and deliver instruction at customer locations across North America
- Use a modern training facility and hands-on lab environment to support learning
- Teach customers how to use Ovation software and related hardware applications
- Deliver custom training experiences based on customer needs and use cases
Requirements
- Comfort working with Microsoft Windows-based systems and installing software
- Basic networking knowledge, including Ethernet concepts and Cisco switch/router familiarity
- Ability to learn Emerson Ovation DCS concepts and translate them into clear customer training
- Willingness to travel to customer sites across North America as needed
