About the Role
Join Boeing’s Customer Support Analytics team in Seal Beach, California as an Engineering Data Scientist (Senior or Lead). In this role, you’ll lead a high-performing analytics team, mentor junior engineers, and help shape the organization’s AI strategy and data infrastructure. You’ll pair advanced machine learning and data engineering expertise with proven leadership to deliver production-ready solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of machine learning models and analytics pipelines from prototype to production
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define AI roadmap priorities and success metrics
- Establish engineering best practices for data quality, model reliability, and scalable deployment
- Operationalize models and workflows to ensure consistent performance in real-world environments
- Mentor and grow team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to AI infrastructure decisions, including tooling, automation, and system architecture
Requirements
- Strong expertise in machine learning, including model development and evaluation
- Deep knowledge of data engineering practices for building reliable data pipelines
- Experience deploying models into production and supporting operational monitoring
- Proven leadership skills, including mentoring and driving technical alignment across teams
- Ability to translate stakeholder needs into actionable technical plans
