About the Role
Chime is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team in our AI & App Experience (AAX) organization. You’ll manage the engineers building Jade, our AI-powered financial assistant at the center of the next generation of the Chime member experience.
Jade helps millions of members manage spending, track subscriptions, and work toward financial goals through natural, reliable, and trustworthy conversations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers delivering member-facing AI capabilities
- Partner with product and design to make tough architectural and product decisions
- Set engineering standards for shipping LLM-powered features safely and at scale
- Ensure the team’s delivery practices evolve with the frontier of AI tooling
- Stay hands-on enough to guide technical direction and unblock execution
- Coach engineers to build and operate AI-first products with high quality
Requirements
- Experience managing engineering teams delivering production software
- Strong technical background in AI/LLM-powered systems and application engineering
- Proven ability to translate product goals into scalable architecture and delivery plans
- Track record of building safe, reliable AI features in real-world environments
- Excellent collaboration and communication across engineering, product, and design
