About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on Enterprise Cloud Platforms Engineer to design, build, and operate compute platforms across a hybrid landscape spanning on-prem data centers and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role focuses on Google Compute Engine (GCE), virtualization (cloud-native and traditional), and Unix/Linux operations, including workload migrations between on-prem and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and support enterprise compute platforms across on-prem and Google Cloud (GCE).
- Manage and optimize virtualization platforms including GCE, VMware vSphere/vCenter, and IBM Power Systems.
- Translate architecture into scalable, automated, production-ready solutions.
- Standardize platform approaches and improve operational excellence across Linux-based environments.
- Drive workload migration and integration across cloud and on-prem systems.
Requirements
- Strong Unix/Linux systems experience, including administration and operational support.
- Hands-on experience with Google Compute Engine (GCE) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere/vCenter.
- Ability to automate platform provisioning and operational workflows.
- Experience with workload migration across cloud and on-prem environments.
