About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next chapter of iconic American mobility, and we’re looking for a Quality Operations Manager to strengthen quality performance across General Assembly. You’ll help ensure our vehicles meet the highest standards for reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction while supporting a culture of respect, exploration, and hard work.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day quality operations for General Assembly, driving consistent, measurable quality outcomes.
- Lead quality planning and execution for production builds, including inspections, controls, and corrective actions.
- Analyze defects and process issues, then implement root-cause solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to align quality requirements and improve handoffs.
- Maintain quality documentation, reporting, and standard work to support audits and continuous improvement.
- Coach and support cross-functional teams on quality processes, escalation paths, and problem-solving methods.
Requirements
- Experience leading quality in automotive or industrial manufacturing, preferably in assembly operations.
- Demonstrated ability to use root-cause problem-solving tools and drive corrective actions.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection planning, and defect containment practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence teams across functions.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment with a continuous improvement mindset.
