About the Role
State Street is seeking an Enterprise Risk Management Vice President to lead independent assurance coverage for non-financial risks. In this role, you will provide risk oversight across key areas such as technology, cybersecurity, data management, transaction processing, product, resiliency, change management, third-party risk, fraud, reporting, human capital, legal, and strategic risks.
You will report to the Corporate Audit Managing Director for Enterprise Risk Management and help shape and deliver the annual audit plan. This position is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Support the annual audit planning process, including risk assessment, scoping, and audit execution for targeted processes and risk domains
- Provide leadership and independent assurance over non-financial risk controls and related governance
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management practices across business activities
- Develop audit approaches and ensure audit work meets professional standards and internal expectations
- Contribute to the growth of audit staff through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
- Support departmental initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Proven experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, or assurance related to non-financial risk areas
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and audit scoping methodologies
- Experience evaluating controls across areas such as technology, cybersecurity, data, operational resilience, fraud, or third-party risk
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and present findings clearly
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including developing and mentoring team members
