About the Role
Barr is hiring an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support our Engineering and Design business unit in a hybrid position. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams serving industrial clients across power generation, oil and gas, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering calculations, system specifications, and construction drawing development and review
- Support selection of equipment and components for project requirements
- Help guide work from early concept through bid package development
- Contribute to technical reports, cost estimates, proposals, and client-facing documentation
- Coordinate with team members to meet project milestones and deadlines
Requirements
- Entry-level experience with 2+ years in mechanical engineering work
- Strong communication skills, including clear technical writing and professional client communication
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, project-based environment
- Flexibility to adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and client needs
