About the Role
PAE is seeking a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. In this role, you will provide advanced technical leadership and guide project teams through every stage of mechanical design, from concept to construction administration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee mechanical engineering project delivery to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Lead preparation of engineering deliverables, including calculations, narratives, drawings, and specifications
- Drive coordination across internal teams, external partners, and clients to keep projects aligned and moving forward
- Apply engineering judgment to support projects from conceptual design through construction administration
- Assemble, manage, and mentor project teams while developing detailed work plans
Requirements
- Proven experience leading mechanical engineering projects and technical efforts
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and design practices
- Ability to produce and review engineering calculations, documentation, and technical deliverables
- Excellent coordination and communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage work plans and lead teams effectively
