About the Role
KMPH FOX26 has an exciting part-time opportunity for an entry-level editor and writer to support our high school football coverage. This role is essential during Friday Night Rivals, coordinating sponsorship content and helping prepare highlights for our Sinclair corporate team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate sponsorship scripts and graphics from the production truck
- Work an 8-hour shift on Fridays during the high school football season
- Complete a follow-up 2-hour shift the next day to edit and deliver highlights
- During other parts of the year, help cover weekend schedules (6:45–11:15 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays)
Requirements
- Currently enrolled or completed junior/senior year at a four-year accredited college or university
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in news
- Highly motivated and eager to learn newsroom workflows
