About the Role
Akoustis, a SpaceX subsidiary, is seeking an Equipment Reliability Engineer to help ensure our RF filter technology and manufacturing equipment perform reliably at scale. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to support mission-critical production for Starlink and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal project teams, consulting engineers, and contractors through mechanical and electrical equipment development and execution.
- Drive reliability planning, analysis, and continuous improvement across equipment and processes.
- Partner with engineering and operations stakeholders to identify risks, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Support documentation and technical reviews to ensure equipment performance meets requirements.
Requirements
- Experience in equipment reliability engineering, reliability analysis, or related engineering disciplines.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals relevant to industrial equipment.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage technical work with contractors and consultants.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced engineering environment with a focus on practical, measurable reliability outcomes.
