About the Role
As a Forklift Operator in our food distribution environment, you’ll help ensure products are received, stored, and shipped safely and accurately. Working under general supervision, you’ll operate a variety of warehouse equipment to keep freight moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload incoming freight safely using the appropriate equipment.
- Move products to storage locations throughout the facility.
- Stack and store merchandise in an organized, secure manner.
- Pick, assemble, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation and report issues as needed.
- Label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack products according to management direction.
Requirements
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse material-handling equipment.
- Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment and follow all safety procedures.
- Attention to detail for order accuracy and product condition checks.
- Comfort working with RF (radio frequency) equipment and basic warehouse systems.
