About the Role
Control Shift Video is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented freelance illustrator to partner with our core team on a variety of project-based creative work. You’ll help turn complex concepts into clear, engaging visuals across technology, healthcare, energy, consumer brands, and nonprofit initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Create custom illustrations for video, motion graphics, web, and brand content
- Collaborate with the creative team to shape visual styles, concepts, and story-driven imagery
- Translate scripts, ideas, and rough concepts into compelling visual narratives
- Prepare artwork for animation, motion, and digital delivery
- Iterate based on feedback while maintaining consistency and quality throughout the project
Requirements
- Strong illustration skills with a cohesive style (or multiple styles that fit project needs)
- Experience producing artwork for video, motion graphics, or digital platforms
- Ability to simplify complex or technical information visually
- Comfort working independently while collaborating with a creative team
- Reliable communication, meeting deadlines, and delivering on commitments
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools
