About the Role
IERUS is seeking a Hardware Program Manager and Product Owner to help drive the technology lifecycle—from early identification and creation through transition and low-rate production. In this role, you’ll partner with engineers and stakeholders to shape priorities, manage program execution, and ensure product delivery aligns with mission needs.
Responsibilities
- Own product priorities and translate stakeholder needs into actionable roadmaps and user-focused requirements
- Manage hardware program execution, including planning, tracking, and cross-team coordination
- Apply agile development practices to accelerate delivery across research, prototyping, and production efforts
- Coordinate RF/optical hardware prototyping activities and support readiness for low-rate production
- Collaborate with teams working on advanced ML/AI and computational analytics to ensure requirements are met
- Maintain clear communication on progress, risks, dependencies, and decision points
Requirements
- Experience serving as a Product Owner and/or Program Manager in a technology or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles (prototype to production readiness)
- Ability to work effectively with agile delivery processes and maintain product backlogs/roadmaps
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, research, and stakeholders)
- Background working with RF/optical systems and/or defense-related hardware programs is a plus
