Head of Quality (QMS) | Medical Devices | Hybrid in Boston, MA

About the Role

Eyebot is seeking a Head of Quality to design and lead our quality and quality assurance function as we scale medical device operations across the United States and into international markets. This is a systems-building position where you will establish the Quality Management System (QMS), operationalize design controls and risk management, and create the QA processes that help our products perform reliably in the field.

Responsibilities

• Build and own Eyebot’s QMS, ensuring it supports scalable, compliant medical device operations
• Embed design controls and risk management practices into engineering workflows
• Develop QA processes for complaint handling, nonconformance management, incoming inspection, and production controls
• Set up quality documentation, controls, and review rhythms to support sustained product quality
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering and operations to ensure quality requirements are addressed early and consistently
• Support growth plans by strengthening quality processes for new markets and manufacturing needs

Requirements

• Proven experience leading quality and/or QA functions in regulated medical device environments
• Strong understanding of QMS fundamentals, design controls, and risk management
• Experience building scalable quality systems and standard operating processes
• Familiarity with complaint handling, CAPA/nonconformance workflows, and inspection/production quality controls
• Ability to translate compliance requirements into practical processes for engineering and production teams
