About the Role
WellMed Networks is seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative care team focused on geriatrics. You’ll work with Medicare Advantage patients and help deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care using evidence-based, proven clinical approaches
- Manage a limited patient panel with a focus on quality outcomes over volume
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support safe, coordinated care
- Work weekdays in a daytime schedule
Requirements
- NP certification (AANP or ANCC) or PA certification (NCCPA), plus Acute Care certification
- Current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or the Texas Medical Board
- Valid DEA license or ability to obtain one
- At least 1 year of clinical experience as an NP or PA
- Comfort providing care for Medicare-aged patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience or familiarity with managed care environments
