About the Role
Career Team is seeking a Humanitarian Support Worker to support disaster relief efforts through our DRE WEX position with Volunteers of America Western Washington (VOAWW). In this role, you’ll help deliver compassionate, high-touch assistance to individuals and families affected by emergencies in Snohomish County.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-the-ground humanitarian support aligned with disaster relief employment (DRE) program expectations
- Assist with client engagement, basic needs support, and coordination under the direction of the Team Lead
- Support case management activities by helping clients navigate available resources
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and partners to ensure timely, respectful service delivery
- Maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and program compliance in a fast-moving environment
Requirements
- Ability to work in a non-exempt, disaster relief employment capacity
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, service-oriented approach
- Comfort working with individuals facing challenging circumstances
- Reliability and teamwork mindset
- Willingness to support disaster relief operations in Snohomish County
