About the Role
As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician Manager (DIAM), you’ll lead a team of Inventory & Asset Management technicians supporting inbound and outbound logistics, inventory cycle audits, and data center regulatory compliance. You’ll coach your team to execute warranty workflows and ensure proper destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs), while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all IAM activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop technicians responsible for inventory and asset management operations
- Oversee inbound/outbound logistics activities tied to inventory and asset flows
- Drive inventory cycle audits and ensure findings are addressed promptly
- Support data center regulatory compliance requirements
- Manage warranty processes and standard work for device handling
- Ensure DBD destruction is completed correctly and documented appropriately
- Coordinate with stakeholders and manage operational escalations as they arise
Requirements
- Experience leading or supervising inventory, asset, or logistics operations
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices and audit processes
- Knowledge of compliance and regulated operational environments
- Ability to coach teams and drive consistent execution of standard work
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting escalations
