Inventory & Asset Management Data Center Compliance Logistics Operations

About the Role

As a Microsoft Data Center Inventory & Asset Technician Manager (DIAM), you’ll lead a team of Inventory & Asset Management technicians supporting inbound and outbound logistics, inventory cycle audits, and data center regulatory compliance. You’ll coach your team to execute warranty workflows and ensure proper destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs), while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all IAM activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop technicians responsible for inventory and asset management operations
  • Oversee inbound/outbound logistics activities tied to inventory and asset flows
  • Drive inventory cycle audits and ensure findings are addressed promptly
  • Support data center regulatory compliance requirements
  • Manage warranty processes and standard work for device handling
  • Ensure DBD destruction is completed correctly and documented appropriately
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and manage operational escalations as they arise

Requirements

  • Experience leading or supervising inventory, asset, or logistics operations
  • Strong understanding of inventory control practices and audit processes
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulated operational environments
  • Ability to coach teams and drive consistent execution of standard work
  • Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting escalations
