About the Role
We’re seeking an IT Specialist to provide hands-on technical support at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This Direct Hire position focuses on system administration, customer support, and maintaining reliable IT operations in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct technical assistance, including software installation and hardware configuration
- Set up and support communication networking to ensure systems remain operational
- Instruct users on effective data access, processing practices, storage efficiency, and program recovery
- Monitor hardware and software performance to ensure systems meet operational standards
- Follow established procedures and watch for potential security events
- Interact proactively with users to ensure computers, peripherals, and applications operate correctly
Requirements
- Preferred: CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain at entry)
- Experience providing IT support for software installations, hardware configurations, and networking setup
- Ability to troubleshoot and ensure systems are operating optimally in a regulated environment
- Familiarity with monitoring for security-related issues and following documented procedures
