About the Role
AoPS Academy is seeking a part-time Language Arts Instructor who enjoys creating an engaging classroom experience and helping students build strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. You’ll work with small groups of advanced learners using our company-created curriculum and materials.
Responsibilities
- Teach language arts using AoPS Academy curriculum and lesson materials
- Lead student-centered, interactive lessons that encourage student-led learning
- Manage and support small classes of up to 16 students
- Grade assessments and provide constructive feedback to students
- Build positive relationships with students and communicate with families
- Foster a classroom culture that supports learning, curiosity, and critical thinking
Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring language arts (preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to engage students and support student-led participation
- Comfort grading and providing thoughtful feedback
