About the Role

Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, iconic vehicles—and we’re looking for a Lead Engine Cooling System Engineer to help advance our powertrain and thermal management capabilities. You’ll play a key role in developing reliable cooling systems that support both performance and durability across real-world driving conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering efforts for engine cooling system design, development, and validation
  • Own technical requirements and translate them into robust system-level solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thermal performance, packaging, and manufacturability
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify cooling system performance and reliability
  • Analyze thermal data, troubleshoot issues, and drive corrective actions
  • Support design reviews and ensure documentation is complete and traceable

Requirements

  • Experience designing or engineering cooling systems for automotive powertrains
  • Strong understanding of thermal management, heat transfer, and system performance validation
  • Proficiency with engineering analysis tools and data interpretation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience working with test hardware, instrumentation, and validation processes
