About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged, iconic vehicles—and we’re looking for a Lead Engine Cooling System Engineer to help advance our powertrain and thermal management capabilities. You’ll play a key role in developing reliable cooling systems that support both performance and durability across real-world driving conditions.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts for engine cooling system design, development, and validation
- Own technical requirements and translate them into robust system-level solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure thermal performance, packaging, and manufacturability
- Develop and execute test plans to verify cooling system performance and reliability
- Analyze thermal data, troubleshoot issues, and drive corrective actions
- Support design reviews and ensure documentation is complete and traceable
Requirements
- Experience designing or engineering cooling systems for automotive powertrains
- Strong understanding of thermal management, heat transfer, and system performance validation
- Proficiency with engineering analysis tools and data interpretation
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience working with test hardware, instrumentation, and validation processes
