About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next chapter of an iconic American legacy—electrifying and digitizing the vehicles people rely on. We’re looking for a Lead Engineer to drive Secondary ECU release activities, focusing on delivering high-quality artefacts and binaries that support our powertrain and vehicle software needs.
Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate Secondary ECU release processes for artefacts and binaries across relevant software deliveries
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure release readiness, traceability, and alignment to requirements
- Support build, packaging, versioning, and release validation workflows
- Identify risks and drive resolution for integration, tooling, and delivery issues during the release lifecycle
- Maintain clear release documentation and communicate status, blockers, and outcomes to stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience delivering or supporting embedded software releases, including artefact/binary generation and validation
- Strong understanding of software release engineering practices (versioning, packaging, traceability)
- Proficiency with build/release tooling and working knowledge of CI/CD concepts
- Ability to analyze issues, debug effectively, and drive improvements to delivery quality and reliability
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering and product stakeholders
