About the Role
Join our Industrial Supply team as a Lead Supply Management Specialist (Inventory Auditor), supporting the MRO Logistics department at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast. In this onsite role, you will drive the physical inventory accuracy program and ensure inventory records reflect real-world conditions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end physical inventory accuracy program, including annual and quarterly audit planning
- Refine audit methodologies and coordinate audit schedules with internal departments
- Analyze systemic causes of inventory inaccuracy and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address audit findings and process gaps
- Prepare formal audit reports and brief leadership on results, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in inventory accuracy and internal controls
- Lead a team conducting physical inventories, location audits, and material condition assessments
- Investigate and reconcile complex discrepancies between physical counts and Navy ERP (SAP) records
Requirements
- Experience leading or coordinating inventory audits and physical inventory programs
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes and internal control evaluation
- Ability to analyze discrepancies and drive reconciliation using ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proven experience developing corrective action plans based on audit findings
- Excellent written communication skills for audit reporting and leadership briefings
- Ability to lead teams in conducting inventories, location audits, and condition assessments
