About the Role
As a Contract Logistics Supervisor, you’ll lead day-to-day warehouse operations to deliver excellent customer service, strong productivity, safe work practices, and cost-effective performance. Reporting to an Operations Manager or General Manager, you’ll supervise one warehouse and guide the team to meet operational and corporate expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse activities to support efficient, customer-focused operations
- Provide leadership by motivating, training, and developing warehouse team members
- Supervise personnel scheduling and daily staffing coverage
- Ensure proper and safe use of warehouse equipment and facilities
- Apply the APL Logistics Continuous Improvement (ACI) Model and other tools to improve processes
- Drive waste elimination to increase proficiency and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to build a high-performing, safety-first culture
Requirements
- Supervisory experience in warehouse or logistics operations
- Strong understanding of safety practices and equipment operations
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
- Experience with scheduling and day-to-day operational oversight
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience improving workflows
