About the Role
Diamond Foundry is building breakthrough manufacturing capabilities to enable diamond wafers for next-generation technology. In this Mechanical Design Engineer role within the Reactor Development Group, you’ll lead high-visibility R&D efforts focused on the mechanical design and development of Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor equipment and related systems.
Responsibilities
- Own the mechanical design and development of Plasma-Enhanced CVD reactor systems used for growth and manufacturing
- Lead multiple R&D projects from concept through design execution and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into practical mechanical solutions
- Support system integration and iterative design improvements based on testing and operational feedback
Requirements
- Strong mechanical engineering background with experience designing complex equipment
- Proven ability to lead R&D projects and manage design ownership
- Comfort working in a fast-paced engineering environment with evolving requirements
- Experience with reactor or industrial equipment design is a plus
