Our Engineering team works on UAS hardware, dispersion payloads, and in-situ/remote sensing systems—and your work will support mission-critical subsystems that directly impact our operational solution.
This Mechanical Engineering Intern role reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer and is based in El Segundo, California for the Fall term (August–December).
Responsibilities
- Design and build functional prototypes for UAS mechanical subsystems
- Iterate quickly based on test results, feedback, and engineering guidance
- Support integration of mechanical components into the broader UAS platform
- Assist with hardware validation activities for mission-critical hardware
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering (or closely related) program
- Basic proficiency with mechanical design and prototyping practices
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on engineering environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn through iteration
Benefits
- Real-world engineering experience on innovative UAS subsystems
- Direct mentorship from the Lead Mechanical Engineer
- Opportunity to contribute to mission-driven technology
