About the Role
Join our team as a Mechanical Engineering Technical Support Specialist supporting engineering activities at our Cummins facility in Seymour, Indiana. You’ll help ensure engines and test setups are properly assembled, configured, and maintained so engineering teams can execute experiments and production testing efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, rebuild, and prepare production and experimental engines and components, including taking and recording measurements
- Configure and operate data acquisition systems; review and validate collected data for suitability
- Install engines and components in test cells or test rigs
- Fabricate piping, tubing, and brackets using prints and drawings
- Diagnose issues with engines and test cell equipment
- Configure and operate engines or rigs, measuring and recording data as requested and performing preventative maintenance
- Execute written work requests and report results in the required format
Requirements
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience supporting engine or test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering prints, drawings, and work instructions
- Familiarity with measurement practices and data acquisition fundamentals
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
