About the Role
Join our engineering and design team supporting nuclear power projects with a hybrid work schedule—some time in the office and some work from home. Under the Mechanical Project Lead, you’ll help develop mechanical general arrangement, piping isometrics, pipe support deliverables, and mechanical equipment layouts within a 3D model.
Responsibilities
- Produce mechanical design deliverables, including 3D model drawings and coordinated layouts, in support of project execution
- Use Hexagon SmartPlant S3D and the SPF database to generate model-based outputs such as BOMs and commodity lists
- Interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and ensure physical design aligns with engineering requirements
- Coordinate and lead detailed design phases across an integrated mechanical design model
- Identify and resolve clashes and discrepancies within the 3D model to maintain design accuracy and coordination
Requirements
- Experience with SmartPlant S3D modeling and related SPF database workflows
- Working knowledge of mechanical design deliverables such as general arrangements, isometrics, and pipe support documentation
- Ability to read and apply information from P&ID/SPID-based documentation
- Strong coordination skills to lead design efforts across disciplines and maintain model integrity
Benefits
- Hybrid work schedule with flexibility between office and remote work
- Opportunity to contribute to large-scale nuclear power engineering projects
