About the Role
deciBel Research is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to support the Ground Missile Defense (GMD) Ground Weapons System (GWS). In this individual contributor role on the HWE environmental team, you will help ensure the GWS design meets hardware requirements that support reliable system performance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate equipment and provide design guidance to support compliance with GWS hardware requirements
- Develop and deliver analysis products related to environmental and mechanical system considerations
- Support the GWS program by contributing technical expertise on the HWE environmental team
- Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to address design needs and ensure requirements are met
Requirements
- Experience applying mechanical systems engineering principles to complex defense or aerospace systems
- Ability to produce engineering analysis and design guidance documentation
- Strong understanding of hardware requirements and compliance processes
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment
