About the Role
Join U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security as a Mission Support Specialist in El Paso, Texas. This role provides advanced financial analysis and SAP financial system expertise to support executive-level decision-making, cross-division coordination, and mission-critical reporting.
Responsibilities
- Gather, organize, and analyze financial and operational information to support mission needs
- Perform advanced financial analysis and develop findings that inform leadership decisions
- Use SAP financial systems to support reporting, tracking, and financial workflow needs
- Ensure compliance with federal accounting standards and appropriations law
- Prepare high-impact reports, recommendations, and briefing materials for stakeholders
- Coordinate across divisions and units to support timely, accurate mission support deliverables
Requirements
- Experience performing advanced financial analysis in support of organizational decision-making
- Demonstrated expertise with SAP financial systems
- Knowledge of federal accounting standards and appropriations law
- Strong ability to prepare clear, actionable reports and recommendations
- Ability to collaborate effectively across divisions and support executive-level communication
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $89,508 to $116,362 (GS-12, Step 1 to Step 10)
