About the Role

Join NAVFAC Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic as an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic supporting the Utilities and Energy Management Product Line. In this role, you’ll help keep thermal plant systems reliable and operating efficiently through testing, calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Test, calibrate, repair, and maintain electronic industrial control systems for thermal plants
• Interpret control logic drawings, ladder diagrams, blueprints, and electrical/electronic schematics
• Use engineering workstation tools (EWS) and human-machine interfaces to troubleshoot boiler controls
• Calibrate and replace Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and distributed control system (DCS) components for plant and demineralizer water systems
• Perform routine inspections of instrumentation and readings, including flow, pressure, temperature, level, and analyzer data (gas and water)

Requirements

• Experience reading and troubleshooting industrial control documentation such as ladder logic and wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic schematic diagrams and OEM specifications
• Ability to calibrate control components, including PLCs and DCS equipment
• Familiarity with engineering workstation and HMI-based troubleshooting
