About the Role
WKRC is seeking a creative, forward-thinking News Producer to help shape what a local newscast can be. If you enjoy storytelling, experimenting with new approaches, and creating more than just a rundown, you’ll fit right in.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers, anchors, and directors to plan and produce engaging newscasts
- Write and shape compelling segments that are memorable and viewer-focused
- Bring fresh ideas to every show, including new ways to present stories and reports
- Use strong video and sound to support dynamic, conversational storytelling
- Develop content that performs across platforms, including digital
Requirements
- Strong writing skills with an eye for news storytelling
- Creative producer mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Experience producing or coordinating content for broadcast and/or digital platforms
- Ability to collaborate effectively with anchors, directors, and newsroom leadership
