About the Role
AoPS Academy is seeking a part-time Math Instructor who enjoys helping students build confidence and critical thinking through engaging small-group instruction. If you’re passionate about math and love collaborating in an interactive classroom environment, we’d love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Teach using AoPS Academy’s company-created curriculum and materials for advanced learners
- Lead small classes and keep students actively involved in each session
- Support student-led learning and encourage participation
- Manage classrooms effectively with groups of up to 16 students
- Grade assessments and provide constructive feedback to students
- Build strong relationships with students and families to support long-term learning
- Foster a positive learning culture that motivates students to think critically about math
Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring math (preferred)
- Comfort working with advanced students and facilitating discussion-based learning
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to provide clear, helpful feedback on student work
