About the Role
AoPS Academy is seeking a part-time Math Instructor who’s excited to inspire advanced learners through engaging, discussion-driven lessons. You’ll lead small classes, support student-led learning, and help students build strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach using company-created curriculum and instructional materials designed for advanced students
- Facilitate active learning by involving students during lessons and supporting student-led approaches
- Manage and support classes of up to 16 students
- Grade assessments and provide constructive feedback to help students improve
- Build positive relationships with students and families to support long-term learning
- Promote a classroom culture that encourages curiosity and mathematical confidence
Requirements
- Passion for teaching math and motivating students
- Experience or strong comfort working with students in a classroom setting
- Ability to manage small groups effectively and keep students engaged
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with students and families
