About the Role
UrgentVet provides after-hours urgent care for dogs and cats, helping families get timely treatment without emergency clinic pricing. We’re looking for a Part-time Senior Veterinary Assistant to support patient care, team leadership, and exceptional client service in our fast-paced, modern urgent care clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist the veterinary team with patient intake, support during treatments, and aftercare
- Help maintain a smooth clinic flow during weekend shifts
- Provide supportive leadership to team members and help coordinate tasks
- Support client communication by answering questions and relaying information clearly
- Prepare exam and treatment areas and assist with medical procedures as needed
Requirements
- Prior veterinary assistant experience (senior-level experience preferred)
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment
- Strong client service skills and a compassionate approach to animals
- Ability to assist with clinical tasks and follow medical protocols
- Availability for weekend shifts in Bayport, NY
