About the Role
Join our remote call center team supporting large hospital networks across the United States. As a Patient Care Specialist, you’ll answer inbound calls during daytime Eastern Time (EST) shifts while providing professional telephone support, messaging, and alerts for physicians and medical facilities.
Responsibilities
- Handle 80–120 inbound calls per day in a timely, professional manner
- Follow established communication prompts and workflows
- Determine caller needs, clarify details, research issues, and provide solutions or appropriate alternatives
- Build positive, sustainable relationships through excellent customer service
- Document call details clearly in the call center database
- Meet individual and team qualitative and quantitative performance targets
Requirements
- Medical terminology knowledge and experience (hands-on or clerical)
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM (testing required)
- Strong phone communication skills with active listening
- Professional computer skills and reliable internet
- Quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for a fast-paced environment
- Preferred: familiarity with EMR systems and practices
- Internet requirements: Ethernet hardwire preferred; Ping < 15; Download > 50 Mbps; Upload > 10 Mbps
