About the Role
Surefire Cyber is building a faster, stronger way to respond to cyber incidents. As a Principal Engagement Lead, you’ll help lead client engagements across ransomware, email compromise, malware, data theft, and other high-impact threats—bringing experienced guidance that helps clients prepare, respond, recover, and strengthen cyber resilience after an event.
Responsibilities
- Own and guide incident response engagements from kickoff through recovery support, ensuring clear communication and measurable progress.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to deliver effective response actions aligned to client needs and incident priorities.
- Apply practical expertise gained from working with law firms, insurance carriers, brokers, law enforcement, and impacted organizations.
- Ensure engagements run efficiently by improving workflows, documentation, and delivery standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to engagement teams during complex, time-sensitive incidents.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading cyber incident response or related security engagements.
- Strong understanding of ransomware, email compromise, malware, and data theft response processes.
- Excellent client communication skills, including the ability to translate technical details into clear next steps.
- Ability to lead under pressure while keeping stakeholders aligned and focused on outcomes.
- Industry experience working with legal, insurance, or law enforcement stakeholders is a plus.
