About the Role
Amentum is seeking a Diver to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) mission on Andros Island, Bahamas. This role involves performing limited “No Decompression” SCUBA dives to recover, inspect, repair, install, and remove devices from U.S. Navy marine vessels and structures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct strictly limited “No Decompression” dives at depths up to 100 feet using open-circuit SCUBA and diving equipment
- Operate and maintain diving air systems in accordance with OSHA Diving Air Standards
- Operate and maintain diving gear (tanks, regulators, masks, fins, and related equipment) to support safe diving operations
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes in compliance with OSHA/NAVFAC standards
- Operate tractor trailers in accordance with NAVSEA standards
- Operate and maintain underwater camera and video equipment
- Operate and maintain the dive boat and associated support equipment
- Support ordnance/target handling, transportation, and recovery operations
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Requirements
- 4 years of related experience in military diving, OSHA commercial air diving, or a comparable professional environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Association of Commercial Diving Educators certification (or equivalent military certification)
- Ability to obtain NAVFAC forklift/overhead crane operator certification and tractor trailer operator certification within 6 months of hire
- Ability to qualify as an ordnance team member within 6 months of hire
- Ability to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
