About the Role
RTX is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to support mission-critical work onsite in Aurora, Colorado. This role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance (no polygraph) that is transferable and in place on day one.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex software systems for defense and aerospace applications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable, reliable solutions
- Drive technical decisions across architecture, implementation, and integration
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement throughout the software lifecycle
Requirements
- Active and existing U.S. government security clearance: TS/SCI without polygraph, required on day one
- U.S. citizenship required (eligibility for security clearance)
- Experience delivering high-impact software as a senior/lead engineer
- Ability to work onsite full time in Aurora, CO
