About the Role
Fieldpiece is seeking a hands-on Product Category Director to lead new product development from concept through launch. This role is ideal for an electro-mechanical engineering leader who can spot unmet customer needs, shape breakthrough product ideas, and build products that don’t yet exist.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive a product category end-to-end, from discovery and concept development to launch and ongoing improvements
- Translate customer pain points into product requirements, specifications, and development plans
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver rugged, high-performing HVACR tools
- Use deep electro-mechanical engineering expertise to guide design decisions and problem-solving
- Maintain a customer-focused product roadmap and ensure launches meet quality and performance goals
Requirements
- Strong electro-mechanical engineering background with hands-on product development experience
- Proven ability to lead product development from concept to launch
- Entrepreneurial, innovation-driven mindset with comfort working through ambiguity
