About the Role
MongoDB is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead positioning and messaging for our Application Modernization Platform. You’ll help expand adoption by translating deep product and modernization knowledge into clear, differentiated narratives for both user and buyer personas.
You’ll join a high-performing, globally distributed team and collaborate across Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Delivery, and Sales to build and execute cross-functional plans.
Responsibilities
- Own product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market narrative for application modernization
- Partner with product and engineering teams to understand capabilities and translate them into customer-ready value
- Develop differentiated content and campaigns tailored to distinct user and buyer personas
- Measure performance and refine messaging based on adoption, engagement, and pipeline impact
- Collaborate with Sales and Delivery to align on customer needs, objections, and success criteria
- Support enterprise transformation conversations, including lift-and-shift versus re-architecture tradeoffs
Requirements
- Experience in product marketing, product messaging, or go-to-market strategy
- Strong understanding of application modernization, database modernization, and cloud-native architectures
- Ability to explain production migration patterns and the factors that drive successful outcomes
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across product, engineering, and sales
- Excellent written communication skills and a strong marketing instinct for crisp, persona-specific messaging
